To change sounds you must edit the file sounds.ini. Also sounds can be disabled in preferences (Main menu/Preferences/Events).

You can move your account from one R&Q build to another. For this copy the folder with your UIN from the old R&Q folder to the new one.

You can add yourself to your contact list. It can be useful for example to check the unstable connection by sending yourself a message.

Preferences of the message header

For example you can make the nickname first and remove the timestamp, just by editing the lng-file.

If you use the English interface you can just leave in this file the following lines:

Left-click makes the contact list active (if it hasn't been hide) and shows it

Double-click shows the contact list if it is hide

Right-click shows the Main menu

Ctrl+right-click disables all the blinking events

Left-click closes the tip

Double-click opens the chat with the contact which has sent you a message

Right-click closes the tip and disables the chat window blinking

Left-hold on the tip doesn't let it disappear

Start parameters

You can start the R&Q with some parameter pointed it in the shortcut:

• with necessary UIN (for example: "C:\Program Files\RnQ Rapid\R&Q.exe" 1234567)
• --proxy %proxy% — use the proxy with name %proxy%
• --userpath %path% — use another folder for data storage
• --logpath %path% — use another folder for logs storage
